Child who is using basic speech
– Able to speak in 2–3 word phrases or short sentences.
Understands and follows simple instructions
– Can respond to directions like “give me”, “sit down”, or “go there”.
Has basic pre-academic skills
– Can identify basic objects, colors, numbers (1–10), or letters and can trace or copy.
Can sit and attend for 10–15 minutes
– Able to stay in one place and engage in activities with support.
Child is toilet trained or in the process
– Working towards or has achieved basic hygiene independence.
